I know this may sound controversial, but sometimes going to the bathroom and doing number 2 can be a fantastic feel for me, srs

I go to the gym straight from work so arrive home pumped, juicy and with that buzz. Love it.

Then I either have enough energy for a 1-2 hour guitar sesh, and if that goes well then I sleep contented.

If not then I sloth on the couch watching Youtube, football, League of Legends pros. I should read more but I just can't focus anymore.

I pretty much only look forward to the gym. Nothing excites me anymore. I try to read or play videogames or watch sports. Stuff I always is to do. But idgaf anymore. I just get bored and drink till I fall asleep.
During the week on the evening depending on the day of the week:

-lifting (usualy tuesday and thursday)
-reading (usualy monday and wednesday)
- afterwork/dinner with friends (usualy friday but can be thursday or wednesday)

on week end :
- lifting (always)
- going out for a walk (always)
- reading (always)
- confession and holy mass (always)
- listenning an opera (every other week I would say) or going to an opera or a concert (every other month I would say)
- dinner or afternoon with friends (every other week I would say)
- cooking and doing puff pastry (prep meal always, more elaborated stuff it depends)

Those are the things that definetly make me happy and that I love doing.

When I feel tired or depressed, I will walk a lot in the city and after I barely read but spend time unproductively on YT :'( never a good thing to do as it does not bring any joy.

My goal is to leave the city in the years to come and work part time from a tiny home near moutain so I can do a lot more hiking, probably the thing that brings me more the more joy but only do it on holidays or few week end.

From that perspective I feel we are blessed to live in our world cause there is an infinite amount of hoobies you can pick on, we have a lot of ressources to gather from it and overall we got more time than in the past to dedicate to our personnal life.

brazilian jiu jitsu. that's pretty much it.

eating delicious food, watching movies, playing video games, miscing, etc. fall in the category of passing the time and maybe providing temporary pleasure, but I don't equate that to happiness.

I don't enjoy anything material and put on a fake smile at work, in front of friends/family and anyone else I encounter. all I care about is if I have enough money for my bills, food, gas, and most importantly to pay for bjj class. that's what makes me happy. maybe it's the endorphins or sense of accomplishment that challenged myself. Maybe it's because I looked deep inside myself during the struggle and exposed the truth of who I am during those moments. All I know is when I'm training I don't think about work, the future or any of life's bs and at that moment I'd rather be nowhere else.

    being useful.

an hr or two of uninterrupted sleep is also highly underrated
a series of short tasks over a relatively longer period of time is life. altruistic light moves under the cover of your own darkness.. find this inner torch bearer and accompany them to the end. we all walk together, but we all walk alone. there is no understanding or purpose beyond that

No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.
