What makes u happy?

When you get home from work and you have the evening free. What do you look forward to doing? What do you look forward to doing on weekends?

I pretty much only look forward to the gym. Nothing excites me anymore. I try to read or play videogames or watch sports. Stuff I always is to do. But idgaf anymore. I just get bored and drink till I fall asleep.

I’m glad you said that OP, been feeling this way recently, since graduating and not having any work to do until dental school. Completely free summer, should be amazing right? I lose interest in playing video games after about 30 minutes, get bored watching TV, etc.

Lifting is super fun, look forward to that each day. Hiking as well when the weather is right, tons of trails in the mountains. Playing with my dog, hanging out with friends, that’s great too, but most are busy these days...

I wanna start reading more, and perhaps pick up a new hobby. I think a sense of accomplishment is necessary for most people to feel “happy” rather than just “meh.”

Not a lot.

I like spending time with my family and doing stuff with them but it’s not often I’m able to organize a family day. I like seeing nice architecture, eating at good restaurants, getting feminine attention, etc. Most days I am not very happy.

Pull ups. A lot of pull ups. Again and again. Go weighted, struggle, drop weight.....whoa!!!!!!

Pull ups are my new deadlifts. I loved deadlifts so much, I did them every single day.

edit: Your muscles need to recoup so they can grow. I DON'T CARE. When I can't exceed as much as I planned, is the rest day.

Waking up like 9am on a Saturday and knowing there’s no rush to work, or need to run out of bed to catch the train. It’s the most peaceful time of the week by far.

Driving to the beach on summer weekends with fiancée, and being carefree the entire day down at the shore.

Getting into work early and using the bathroom before anyone else is in the building (office brahs know that feel)

In the same exact boat as you. It gets depressing when you are limited to activities since you don’t have anyone to go with. My social circle is gone due to friends having kids and marriage so they don’t go out anymore.

My weekend literally consists of the gym and eating out which is the highlight of the day.
