These younger females need to be doing their due diligence before getting involved with men 10+ years older.

A college freshman with a senior is fine or even a guy mid 20s sure but if you’re with someone nearly 20 years older you need to be checking to see their background as they have likely lived twice as long as you.

School also not at fault - mental gymnastics to see them as the party responsible for this.

She met him at a bar (he was a bouncer) he lied about his age, said he was 27. It was a weird story because she was quite a pretty young track star and all her friends were fat loser types. I'm not sure if she was extremely introverted or maybe aspergers or something. She wasn't popular by the look of it.

Also, because she lived on campus the campus police dealt with it. I'm not sure how the jurisdictions work.

man if my daughter got murdered due to negligence, then I'd sue for a ridiculous amount as well. School will be at fault (campus police) and will settle for much lower.

They should sue Salt Lake City Police Dept, not campus matter. Obviously directed by lawyer because suing school will drum up more press/publicity.
