OP - you ever get those 10 pairs of Yeezy's you pre-ordered?

Why haven't I started my own business yet?

Because someone stole my leprechaun boots.

Ya dig?

because I want to do as little as possible for the most money my qualifications will allow, with 100% job security.

starting a business is the complete opposite for many many many years, then maybe, just maybe you'll start making bank. nothxjeff

Fair play to the guys that do take the risk though, I do rate you for that. I have a friend that set up his own hydroponics wholesale company and now sells SARMS too and he's got a 2019 range rover, 2016 lamborghini Huracan and 5 properties at 25. If you're very lucky and work hard, it can pay off I guess.

I don't know what I would want to do for a business. I dont have any extreme passion for anything really. Anything I kinda like doesn't translate to a sustainable business.

I do. Started with my best friend. We are already solidly over 1m in sales for the year, goal for the year is 2.5m. I am making more money than I thought I had any chance to be doing this young.

I am breaking down mentally. I have been drinking and partying non stop to cope with the stress and the fact that I still do not feel any fulfillment.

It's not all gravy.

1. Lack of ideas. I like the IT field but everything I think of has already been done. A lot of stuff is moving to app/programming and that is a skill you have to master in order to even be looked at. Its not easy.

2. Lack of capital. Might change once I get myself out of debt and get some investments going.

I started out ~3500 in CC debt and barely 5k in the bank. Cope any way you want. Only good excuse is that you just aren't interested in owning a business.

Have my own side company with great, very competent partners - but it's a tough world out there and first revenue isn't easy for tech startups. Since we're software the overhead is only sweat equity but it's still lots of work-outside-of-work. If you have the drive for it, that's good; however, I don't think a lot of people do. Also you have to just embrace the drama and unknowns. It can be exciting as well as scary at times. Most people are going to be more comfortable drawing a steady paycheck rather than high risk-maybehigh reward self employment. I'm still working my day job and doing the startup on the side, and I can tell you a 9-5 is way easier. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to run their own company, especially those with family they'd rather spend time with.

Sounds like too much work.

I enjoy my great salary, avg of 30hrs a week and more family time. I have more than enough to keep me happy and living a good life. Like family, wife, enough toys, and near zero stress.

Did the whole website with adsense thing twice but due to school and other life things they got put on the backburner. If I could find a niche I would consider it, but at the moment nothing comes to mind.

I'm pretty much retired at 32. I have all resources covered for my ebay business for years to come, I can even make income from monopolies such as walmart, and even this website bodybuilding.com supplement store. Then I have a bitcoin trading business that's an infinite amount of money to make forever once the dollar crashes. I can say I'm not the most intelligent, but I do take huge risks to make wise choices and grow from those choices patiently. I've helped many on here start their business and many are successful now.

It does seem that many have money but don't know what to do with it, while those that are broke have enough drive to make money work for them in someway.

Recruiting company. Literally just needed to host a website, buy a printer, get our licenses and incorporate. I think total startup cost was about 2k.

Worked from my apartment for over a year. Didn't even take 5k - that was all I had.
