Unlikable character does stupid thing, chaos ensues, repeat. Could not help but think that the ending of him getting shot in the head should have come about 15 minutes in and saved everyone from the long repetitive runtime.

I think Uncut Gems is probably the misc's most talked about film. Probably the fifth or sixth thread of the exact same nature lol. Kinda says something when a movie gets people actively cranked and trying to prove it sucked. I honestly thought it was pretty awesome. Never saw Good Time tho, so maybe my bar is a bit lower. I've not seen a movie quite like this one and the crazy threads and connections at least were unifying and made sense. Many "indie" movies (which this one is said to be like) have plot threads that lead to nowhere and other stupid useless chit. Most of the threads either had you laughing or thinking "holy schit." Not a perfect movie, the whole catalyst seems ridiculous, especially the situation with the ring, but come on-did that ending not nail it?

I liked it. The frantic nature pulls you in so you feel the stresses and strains of it all imo. The way they use cross talking and fast camera work makes it feel real but i get why ppl dont like it. Maybe you have to be a degen to appreciate the characters struggle. Im also bored of the perfectly setup scenes you get in most movies (Character A says carefully crafted words, Character B responds with carefully written response without missing a beat and the boring camera work that keeps you completely 3rd person and distant)

My girl hated it which for me usually means great movie.

Now 'Good time,' thats another level of film. Master piece.

This is why I enjoyed it so much. Easy 8/10 for me. Haven't had a movie give me such a consistent uncomfortable feel as Uncut Gems.

It’s a fantastic movie, it’s meant to make you stressed, fast m, frantic, rash decisions showing thing spiraling out of control. You people prob love transformers or some trash like that. Sandler killed it here

I thought it was a good movie and Sandler acted great in it. It's super stressful and loud though, not a movie for an enjoyable movie night and no replay value really.

Tried hanging in for 45 mins and it just kept circling the drain.

Decent acting by Sandler, but it's pretty much a silent film if you remove the constant swearing.

Movie should have won best picture. Better than parasite.

The story didnt have an over complicated plot, had good acting and built up tension like no other movie i've seen before.
