Class of 2014 here, I still remember when social media was softer and only included ********. Those were the good days, and that was when I should’ve started lifting. My younger male relatives in college are kinda mindfukked from the heavy social media in middle/high school now, and idk if they have a good chance to make it given the job markets and dating scene. I’ve done what I can. Sadly I live kinda far from them, and I myself am not finished making it yet

Yeah life was different back then. We had cell phones but they were actually just for calling your friends. Things were done in person. Sometimes you got lost, didn't have Google maps, and it turned into a fun time.

Don't think I'd want to be a kid now, but kids today probably feel the same way about the decade I was a teenager.

Good times. Could get into some crazy **** and nobody had a cell phone video for evidence. Not watching a video of random teenagers though that's fukken weird op.

Our kids, nieces and nephews are all living good lives....
There's this weird generation of people born in the 80's (I'm 1987) that around our formative/high school years, the world changed at hyper speed. 9/11, the internet (and thus MySpace, Napster, etc.) and the 24/7 news cycle came in the late 90's early 2000's, and then within a few short years the smart phone came out and put all these things at your finger tips. From 1999ish to 2005ish the world changed more in terms of social technology than it did in a hundred years. Hell, the proliferation of e-mail and text alone paved the way for how people my age and younger date today.

It isn't that things were better before all of this but things are so different today that it's hard to reconcile the two which gives me extreme nostalgia and wishing I could go back and experience life again without the technological amenities we have today. People are probably living better lives than when I was a kid back in the early 2000's... but I still miss them
