No vaccine means only 2 options for the future:

1) Herd immunity; open the gates and let nature take its course. Would enjoy a free, open society but likely higher death toll.
2) Permanent/extended restrictions to minimize spread. To be effective this would mean no large events like sports, concerts, conventions etc. Travel and food service industries would have to suffer extreme restrictions, like 6ft between tables in a dining room etc. Would destroy many businesses.

So hopefully we'll get a vaccine. Even though they say not to expect it until 2021, so we still have the next year to deal with either way.

And it never crosses their mind to strengthen their immune system, never occurs to them that there is no vaccine from a cold (corona virus is a cold), they never remind themselves that flu kills 60’000 people every year, they don’t grasp that previous Coronas are still around killing people as is the swine flu H1N1 from 2009 AND there will be many more viruses in the future, some far stronger than this pathetic weak virus.

Guys... WHO saying there’s no evidence that people who have recovered from COVID19 have immunity against it, is NOT the same thing as saying there IS evidence of NO immunity.

What we do know is coronaviruses in general elicit fairly short lived immune response in people (SARS and MERS patients had antibodies for about 12 months, after that they were vulnerable again).

Then eventually when we reach the breaking point we (the young and healthy) go out and risk a99.8% survival rate against the virus. 99.8% of us will live, 0.2% will become sick and pass.

We could all take this time off to get into tip top shape. Restaurants are a danger so stay home and eat healthy. You have nothing but free time so exercise. You aren't going to work so get normal amounts of sleep. You aren't working so get some sunshine and vitamin D.

Eating healthy, sleeping well, exercising, living a stress free life, and getting vitamin D should all make your immune system the strongest it has ever been. This should help bump the 99.8% chance of survival for ages 18-39 to some where hopefully around 99.9%.

I don't understand that? if someone proves it effective, how can the other possibly prove it ineffective? if someone does a scientific analysis PROVING it works, what other galactic science is the other one using to disprove it?
I feel like this msm keeps suppressing every and which way to find a cure for anything BUT a vaccine, which is far away. They keep wanting to stay locked down, forcing trump to come up with magical solutions all the time.

christ people are still goin on about this.. the point is not to prevent it but to prevent overloading the hospitals. eventually everyone will have covid-19. it's just a part of the cold and flu family that the human body hasn't been in contact with before. like 80% of people will suffer very mild symptoms... that's just like dry cough, or muscle aches, or fever. some people may not even realize it. and it just lasts like 10 days... then ur immune. the other people will have severe symptoms like maybe longer lasting fever or shortness of breath, 5% gets on respirator. like the seasonal allergies are worse, sinus infection is worse

I do wonder about how this virus will affect otherwise-healthy people who become infected a second, third, fourth time.

No doubt if you are fit and healthy your immune system will probably fight it off with only mild symptoms the first time.

But if the antibodies from previous infection are too low to cause immunity, what could be the incremental effects of catching it repeatedly?
