Yeah my ex’s dad passed away right when he turned 47. He was pounding a 30 a day with hard stuff in the morning.
I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time; never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people. Thank you.

I only met her once, but a distance relative was reportedly an alcoholic. She passed in her later 70s.

Her sons are/were alcoholics since being young. The addiction has caused a great deal of trouble in their lives. I don't know if they are still with us today but about 10 years ago they came to attention, doing a news interview quite inebriated. Both would have been in their 60s then.

Same. It was interesting witnessing that. Her family is super bad with it too. And her family (as well as her) would not come out and say it was alcoholism. They were convinced he was going to get better and that him trying to take medication, throwing up and choking on that was what killed him.

The days leading up to his death he looked like a Holocaust survivor, skin turned yellow, large belly with spots all over and couldn’t get out of bed. Went to a local hospital where that hospital said this is way too serious he needs to go another hospital.

- My grandfather who I never met died around 50 from alcohol
- Friend aged 22 died while drinking
- Ex's father passed away at 52 from drinking

I remember being told when you're dying from alcohol, it is not a pretty sight.

My entire family is full of alcoholism. I don't know how my mother and father are still alive. Mom has been sober for 10 years thankfully but drank heavily for 40 years and also smoked her whole life. My dad (as far as I know) still drinks a 1.5 liter bottle of wine every night somehow. Both in their 70's.

My mothers' worst was she had a partial stroke and fell down a flight of stairs while drunk, got her to the hospital and she survived but her BAC was .45. 24 hours later it had only dropped to .38 and somehow her liver didn't fail. Doctor said he'd never seen anything like it and she won the genetic lottery somehow.

Anyway, to answer OP my mother drank 5 glasses of hard alcohol (vermouth which is fortified wine at 20%) every night.

Some coworkers and a couple of relatives.

They mostly died from liver disease/having a destroyed liver. But they were heavy drinkers which most likely caused it.

Yeah my grandfather. I don't remember his exact cause of death but he was drinking a bottle of whisky every day. He was old though, like late 70s or even early 80s. Reason being, he didn't get into daily drinking until middle age and didn't start really smashing the bottle until the last decade or so, after his wife died.

Unfortunately, alcoholism and how your body handles it is terribly genetic.

There are well documented cases of people needing a liver transplant at 24, and then you see full blow alcoholics well into their late 60's.

I come from a long line of alcoholics and have sought help myself a few times. It is hard to explain to someone who doesn't have the same predisposition to the genetic defect, but once you have one, you want 10 within the next hour. Your mind takes over and it is over.

Two that died of cirrhosis of the liver. In their early 50s. One that died at 30 but because he got drunk and drowned on his own vomit. Also know a young brah just 28 that was hospitalized for a few months due to his organs shutting down. I think it was his liver. Too much liquor every day.


It takes a lot of alcohol to do you in. Anyone that dies from it probably deserves it for being that big of a dumbass.

I know a family that had 12 kids and pretty much the majority of them died of alcoholism. Ages were all over the place. I'd say maybe mid-late 30's was the youngest.

One of my friends from high school we went to different colleges though this was 10 years ago when we were about to graduate. He wasn't an alcohol abuser though from what I remember, but he died from alcohol poisoning very sad. Apparently, he had come back to his apartment on campus from a really heavy night of drinking alone, and passed out and never woke up. I think he had a lot of underlying medical issues too as he had gained a lot of weight over the years at least that's what his dad said. His roommate came home home early in the morning from being out also, and found him dead.

My next door neighbor. Brilliant guy too. He’d drink a twelve of piss warm Bud, plus a half liter of vodka.
He moved to New York a few years ago, and I got word he internally bled to death after a bender. Was 50-51.

My neighbor died in his early 60's. Drank busch light from noon until bedtime all day. Also chain smoked. MF got COPD and could barely walk. Stepped off the porch one night to take a piss, missed the step and shattered his entire rotator cuff. It was downhill from there. Ended up dying on his couch and had an array of issues including bones that were incredibly brittle. I used to drink heavily until i saw what he went thru. Wouldn't reccomend. Amazing to me that mary jane is illegal in most states still but alcohol is basically promoted and encouraged.
