If so, how old were they when they died and how many years were they drinking heavily?

My brother in laws brother (my sisters husbands brother) died a couple of years ago from drinking. Don't really know too much about him. I know he was young, like mid 30's and had been hospitalized a few times over the years before he died. My sister said the doctors basically told him straight up; if you continue this you will die. Well, he never slowed down. He spent the last few days of his life in organ failure at the hospital from what I understand.

A clients mom did. She had been abusing alcohol for like 2-3 decades, though. Been hospitalized numerous times. Also hit her head when she died, so not 100% sure that drinking was the cause. I’d ask, but you know, touchy subject.

An ex girlfriends dad prob early 50s. At the end he was drinking a fifth of vodka and a case of beer a day.
Or that’s what I was told. Seems impossible to me.

I had a close call a few years ago. Could barely move no matter how much everyone tried to help me up. Just lied there on the floor. Best friend put me in the tub and wife ran the shower for me. Still nothin. I wasn't in pain or had a hangover, just very tired. Felt surreal. Ambulance was called.
I'm back, bitches!

Had a former colleague fall down the stairs twice within one or two years. First time he shattered hip/pelvis and second time did him in. He blew out a lung from screaming somewhere in between I believe may have also been alcohol related.

My uncle did. Starting drinking when he was 16 and died at 26. He had 25 car crashes before the one that finally killed him. My grandad sent him to rehab several times but he just couldn't get right. He drank at least a fifth of whiskey daily

Yeah, a coworker died a few years ago because he was an alcoholic
He was definitely under 50. Dude would drink everyday and his liver finally gave up

My best friend's husband died of liver failure due to alcoholism, I would say after maybe 10 years of abuse?
Birth mother died of alcoholism after 25+ years self-medicating with alcohol and everything else she could get her hands on.

Would you consider abusing alcohol as having roughly 8-12 drinks a day?

Corona? 4.2% abv
Average Double IPA? 8% abv
Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout? 16% abv
1.5oz 80 proof shot? 40% abv
Using a "Budweiser" as a "drink" can help:
Bud: 1 drink
Double IPA: 1.5 to 2 drinks
Weak Chilis margarita: 1 drink
White Claw: 1 drink
Big stout: 2 drinks
4oz wine: 1 drink
Shot: 1 drink
Average mixed drink at a bar: anywhere from .75 to 3 drinks. Gotta know how they pourin'
etc etc

My neighbor... He was 64. Would get piss drunk off busch light every day. One night he stepped off the porch to take a piss and fell onto the pavement shoulder first. Completely shattered his rotator cuff. It was downhill from there. Ended up dying from a mixture of alcoholism related issues and COPD. His organs basically gave out. Drinking should only be done in small amounts OP...don't make it a daily habit as so many do.
