Impairment with driving varies so much from person to person. It is a bit bizarre to only hone in on drugs and alcohol when things like sleep, quality of sleep, and age can be just as influential on ability.

Driving under the influence is definitely not a victimless crime.

I dunno about all states but in Colorado there are DUI laws for MJ the same as alcohol. Its still irresponsible to smoke and drive because if something happens the weed will get blamed. Can people do is successfully? Sure they do it all the time. If you were a true marijuana advocate you would be promoting responsible consumption rather than trying to argue that people drive better high.

lets say someone who suffers from schizophrenia takes anti psychotic medications to function and it helps him drive, should he not be allowed to drive while taking a medication that helps him function on a day to day basis and even help him drive? should a schizophrenic be forced to take the bus all his life when a simple anti psychotic med can help him function and live a completely normal life?

Not that I'm arguing with the way this all went down, but it was my understanding in FL you could have a firearm in the car even without a CC permit, though I believe its supposed to be stored in a glove compartment or a similar compartment.

That's how we do it up here. As soon as they legalized DUI laws were implemented and people were being charged left, right and center. They don't care how long you've smoked or how often, a baseline needed to be established and as a smoker I wholeheartedly agree.
