They are not admissible, and there really isn’t anything they can do for these people. The media just scared the **** out of people, so just the knowledge of having the virus sends people to hospital unnecessarily.

And now, the media gets to report the hospitals are being overwhelmed with the virus, which isn’t necessarily a lie, but it is literally only because of the media in the first place propagating more click bait fear mongering.

Don’t get me wrong, we need to take this seriously, but man I hate the media. It is so much more day time drama than actual spread of information.
It's amazing how little people value resiliency and don't acknowledge that the main objective of the news is to sell advertising. I'm 100% for being cautious and proactive but feel people are willing blind to the fact that life is uncertain and with the right precautions the majority of people can go about their lives with little additional risk.

Really sad.

You're spot on about the community. When people lose their gym, their hobbies, their favorite local bars/diners, it's crushing. Weird to think, but I'm not sure we'll ever get back to concerts, live sports, etc again.
June 18th gyms were allowed to reopen in CA, along with a plethora of things already open including bars and restaraunts, even some theme parks.

100% feel a lot less stressed with an outlet, and I think a lot of people will do the same if they try to do it again.

My gym is suing the governor and the state because gyms still haven't been allowed to open. Gyms have been closed since mid March and they owe over a quarter of a million in rent.

Luckily I built a home gym years ago...

I stand by everything I have said. Nothing in this thread contradicts anything else I have said about the topic.

Edit: keeping in mind that as available information about this consistently evolving situation adapts and changes as we learn more about the virus and how it impacts us.

I haven’t changed my stance on the topic, but if I did as a result of current information I would t be ashamed of it or anything.

None of us know anything beyond what we are told by other people.

I followed a few in CA and AZ who did this as well, they got shot the fuk down and PD rolled up to ensure they didn't open.

Basically they can do whatever they want under the "state of emergency". Unless there are protests, then we just look the other way.

you need to get some gear for your house OP.

i recently bought:

a 92" in yoke w/ J-Cups
York Power Bar with six 45's
Flat bench
6x4 3/4 in thick rubber mat

all in all cost me about $1300. worth it IMO. never have to worry about the gym again

will miss hunnies and sauna though.
