After the breach in Victoria, the cases have pretty much skyrocketed back into the 100's and now NSW has like 21 active cases with much more undiagnosed right now and still need to be tracked. Restrictions already put back into majority of pubs so it seems like wave number two due to carelessness

Reason why Australia and NZ had low numbers is because we actually listened to our government, put on masks when in public and socially distanced ourselves

Seems like it's getting back to that point again

I don't buy those saying 'we followed the rules'; I've never seen more people out exercising and in shopping centres in my life srs

No idea where you live bud but when we were in full quarantine and lock-down, everywhere was pretty much closed and you weren't allowed to exercise outside

I swear nothing changed here in WA other than some non essential places that had to close. I remember buying some grey sweats the 2nd week of lockdown a few months ago and the shops were full lul

it's a lot easier keeping things contained when you're an isolated landmass

don't think anyone can get into Australia withouth passing an airport or harbor, also you don't "pass through" on your way to somewhere else unlike Belgium for example lol

We have fewer cases because we DIDN'T listen to "experts". W.H.O was begging us to not panic and don't close our borders but we stopped international flights from China right away.

We're also isolated from the rest of the world, so that helps.

Aside from those 2 things, we're not doing anything special. Victoria has seen a spike in cases probably due to the BLM protests in the Communist Republic of Melbourne. Daniel Andrews would have you believe that it was people having dinner with their families that spiked it though

Our boarder control (USA) involves people walking into our country. Floating a dingy onto our shores because yes there are island nations within that reach. Tunneling into our country. Flying to Canada and walking into our country.

Maybe cos I'm coastal tourist town brah, but we were crazy busy the whole way through

the big "joke" was people would be all hanging out and cops would drive past and ppl would start doing jumping jacks cos you had to be "exercising", cops would laugh along

While true and Australia has been prosperous with mineral/mining booms, it still needs tourism to keep up a stable economy. It can't be closed to tourism for too much longer, many jobs in all sectors are based around Australia being a popular destination.

Ahh that makes sense, I'm up at the coastal area like 70km away from Sydney so I guess it makes sense that everything was pretty much close nit and tight

Had one night where I was doing asset protection at the club and I had a car of four idiots drive into our parking lot. One of them exited the vehicle and started throwing **** on the floor, few seconds later, I just see two police vehicles enter the parking lot and detain them

It was hilarious af

I can't be fukt getting into the details, but you're dead wrong. Are you under the impression that there's only one opinion held by all experts, worldwide? Are you under the impression that the WHO has a monopoly on expert advice, or that they haven't been corrupted?

If you think that the actions taken by government here and the restrictions imposed upon (and largely followed by)
the population weren't based on advice from experts, you're a special boy.

I woke up last night to see an Australian rules football game being on TV. They were bragging about 30k people being there to watch the game. I didn't see very many masks at all. Australia is going to get ****ed in the ass again here real soon if they think the WuFlu is gone.

Initially we had great success because we locked down hard and didn't make complying with expert medical advice an idiotic political stance. So we killed community transmission, it was only people coming in from overseas. The only thing we needed to do was quarantine incoming people properly.

Every state did this just fine except Victoria, who, rather than using the police like everyone else, contracted the job out to the cheapest possible security company. So their minimum wage dipchit employees didn't bother guarding quarantiners, instead doing uber jobs and banging bored covid-isolated MILFs.

So now it's back out in the community and its probably out of control so it's going to rolling lockouts for the forseeable future.
