I should clarify. At my gym most people use 45's at the minimum, and most of the time people ask me to leave them on since my gym is so busy. But I do take them off frequently because I'm usually at the gym right before it closes so it makes it easier to clean up. I have never though seen anyone at my gym leg press less than 45 on each side like ever. When you think about it, it's 90 pounds + 25ish pounds for the sled, so 115 pounds in total. If you can do a bodyweight squat at 115, then you can leg press that weight.

"Because the thing about repairing, maintaining, and cleaning is it’s not an adventure. There’s no way to do it so wrong you might die. It’s just work. And the bottom line is, some people are okay going to work, and some people … well, some people would rather die. Each of us gets to choose.”

Man, I legit hate brahs who try to take my bench when I get up to get water.

Legit like poachers, just waiting and watching. I usually tell them, very nicely, that they'll have to wait or work in with me.

Water breaks are simply not permitted during an exercise. You do a reasonable number of sets with a reasonable rest between them. Max 15 mins, then shoo.

It's courtesy to leave the bar empty to indicate that it's no longer in use.

This reminds me that I hate fukkers who leave an empty bar and then come back and act like I've stolen their bar. Leave weight on the bar if you're not done with it you fukwit.

I always rerack my weights. Except at the leg press where I’ll leave three plates on each side. Because the ******* owner and his buddies will leave it with like 7 plates on each side. So fk it.

But home gym crew now.

This. Aside from the fact that oldcels like myself warm up with the empty bar to make sure everything is feeling right, if I see plates on a bar I automatically assume it is in use.
