Always knew I wanted some after I could afford them. So I got my professional license in December 2017, knocked up my wife the next month.

I make good money, so I'm financially ready, I suppose. However, I need to mature a bit more emotionally before I can even think about being a parent.

Make sure you pick the right woman. Do not go for under 25. They all end up hating their lost time and bang other dudes.

I did not say the purpose of life was having children, but having a burden. You said having kids was a burden you did not want to have. The fact you put moral duty before desire is good, but the happiness and awareness is bull****. Being a Buddhist gets you where? Occupied by the Chinese or anyone else that does not just pursue happiness and awareness.

Wasn't interested at all in my 20s.

I'm 33 now, been with my gf (she's 28) for 4 years now and we're looking at selling the city apartment and buying a house in the suburbs so probably in about 2 years I think we'll be having the first kid.

Not true. As they age and become more independent you don't have to do everything for them. Of course you still worry about them 24/7 but the actual care taking becomes less and less.
