Takes 5 years to learn a police Job. 6 months academy and 1 year training on the job afterward to be technically qualified.

But wait, a harcut bobber has mortwaining

Not a chance in hell anyone could do it in two weeks without being killed or going to jail.

Good news OP, we're currently hiring for an IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer, if you can learn it in 2 weeks you'll be a shoe in. It's proven to be a hard to fill slot.

Some jobs like this seem really annoying to hire for and keep as most people that can do the job I would imagine get head hunted often if the have a social presence and can always go make more money in a consulting capacity.

It may take 5 years but in practical terms, and in regards to day to day duties, it can all be watered down and learned within 2 weeks and performed competently. You are high off your ass otherwise if you think not.

2 old coworkers convinced the company to do all their intercompany accounting on this one old buggy POS bolt-on software that sucked total ass. No one else wanted to learn it including me, so these two guys did all the maintenance (which was a lot). It was so buggy, it only half worked and required a ton of customization. One day, 1 of the guys quits for another job.

2 weeks later, guy #2 tells the boss he is moving from Seattle to his lake house in Idaho. Same pay, and he would be 100% remote. If they refused, he told them he would walk out right there and leave the company totally fukked for 6+ months. He fukkin' won. The CFO ok'd it because otherwise the accounting would get royally fukked for months.

I get paid to misc, so yeah.

You don't even have to have an IQ above room temperature to get paid to misc.

Why do you think I write such long posts? I get paid per word.

I actually agree - the inherent nature of dealing with the IRS and then a foreign government at the same time while I objectively try to maintain a low tax basis is insensible. It presumes litigation.
