I hope everybody enjoyed eating out in restaurants and working out in gyms whenever they wanted to, six months ago. Because this whole COVID-19 "plandemic" is really just a ploy to bring in a brutal "technocracy", where human rights and freedom of movement are GONE.


Those of us who survive the toxic vaccinations long enough to see this world come to FULL fruition-will be treated to "digital" gyms and "digital" restaurants and bars. Everything will be virtual.

I think I read somewhere that a majority of gym revenues come from people that get a gym membership and then end up not using the gym but never canceling it.

Pretty sure this is how PF stays in business

Maybe the older demographic are willing to go without renewing their gym membership but my gym is packed with younger people.

The membership fees are cheap enough to be seemingly unnoticeable. So you don’t want to go out of your way to stop it.

Repeat about a trillion times, and there is good money in it.

No gym anywhere would be able to facilitate every membership they have. Not even close. They count on most people not showing up. That is the cornerstone of their business model. Selling nothing.

I have a pretty good rate, I only pay $98 a year for my membership but it's irritating cause Nevada is doing a piss poor job of managing COVID spread so I anticipate gyms closing any day now. At my gym they enforce masks pretty much all the time unless you're actively exercising, the machines are also color coded so you can only use half the machines on any given day.
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

In Washington State, every gym in the state will only be able to have five people inside (excluding staff) starting July 30th. Planet Fitness is set to open across the street from my small gym in the fall but who knows if that will be delayed despite construction going on. This is all because of an increase in covid-19 cases across the state.

Absolute opposite for me

This has made me realize just how much i took all my gym's equipment for granted when the lockdown first hit

For under $400/yr I have access to every kind of barbell variation available, DB's up to 120, excess plate weight, ballin sound system, any and all machine/cable setup, giant air conditioned building w/ 24hr access....

I have no desire to try and replace that on my own until I'm forced to

This.

So many out of shape people have a gym membership and pretty much never go. These people now have an excuse to cancel their membership.

People who actually lift and use the gym are not the ones canceling memberships. Gyms aren't going to be much emptier, and since many will close down, they will probably get even busier, and people will on average have to travel farther to get to them.

Gyms survive on people not going. They lock you into a contract knowing most wont use it consistently. Once people cancel then a lot of gyms will close down.
