listen, you need to go into every date with this attitude and approach. you say to yourself - i'm going to have a fun time, and i'm going to be fun. we're going to drink, talk, laugh, and just be casual. if there's a connection, great. if not, no big deal, i don't take it personally. let the chips fall where they may. not everyone is going to like you and vice-versa. go out, have fun, and don't take anything too seriously. and stop trying to be Prince Charming with the gifts and BS. just be yourself. and treat her like you would a friend. you need to be confident, casual, controlled, and - be a challenge to her.
