Yeah. I made a huge mistake going into details.
Had to convince the doctor that I wasn't going to hurt myself or others. Took like an hour of chatting them up to finally be let free.

You've got a pretty big social media presence, that kind of thing is not very conducive to good mental health, have you thought about taking a step back on that front?

I'm in a dark place with COVID-19 and being in the hole financially from the layoffs. But I find the little things to keep going. Glad the NBA started back up to give me some distraction. We've had two deaths in the Family from COVID as well. No funeral or going to check on people either. My buddy thankfully got out of the hospital, but this is some terrible times.

I understand why folks are suicidal and depressed. But I don't have to commute so that's nice. Although I miss the commute honestly.

Not "depressed" at all, but the NYC lockdown has me bored of this "work from home", "stuff I want to do is closed" thing. Didn't move to this city to have to work remotely, and not get to enjoy it.

Bought a rowing machine that arrived last night. Knocked out some workouts this morning while ignoring idiots droning on and on in Zoom chats.

i have felt like utter shiit lately because i cant tell if this is just how things will be, society wise, for the next few years or what. but it is very unsatisfying and i feel like all i am doing is working. honestly if the gym would open and i can get back in my normal routine, i'd be much happier. home workouts are nice but i dont feel like there is much energy around me without being at the gym, out amongst people, that sorta thing. fuuck new york state.

I'm willing to bet social media, porn, and feminism are big parts of it. Social media because it showcases the highlight of everyone's life. Porn because it's just plain degeneracy. And Feminism making it ok for women to do porn, **** every guy, and sell nudes online.

The USA is the third world now, so that's probably why we're all feeling a bit down.

i feel slightly down some days yeah, especially when i start thinking about beta chit like missing my ex etc. doesn't help that im not really interested in meeting girls atm so im just working a lot of the time.

not gonna call it depression since it's not that feeling of complete physical and mental exhaustion and body aching

i feel like the quarantine isolation has made me a little bit antisocial and less able to deal with negative emotions

it probably doesn't feel even 1/100 as bad as having bipolar, feel for u OP. we're all gonna make it

not sure how it affects bipolar but try to get sunlight and/or vitamin d supplementation

Felt really down since the whole lock down. Trapped inside and can’t go do anything. Finally things start to open but as soon as I am getting more comfortable getting back into the world (gym, shopping, restaurants) I get news that makes on of my close family members high risk now, so now I have to self social distance since I see them twice a week and can’t risk them getting sick. Back to home workouts and just hiking for fun. Work stress too, even tho my job is secure. The thoughts that “what if they fire me, or what if I get layed off” is always in my head. It would be tough to find a job in this economy.

I’ve always had OCD so I tend to dwell on bad thoughts a long time.

Things will be alright though we just have to get through the chitty stuff and soon enough our bad luck will be done.

First few weeks of lockdown I was doing terrible. Severely depressed and unmotivated. I didn't want to get out of bed, lift, socialize, work, or do anything. That lasted for 4-5 weeks

Then one day I woke up and the switch flipped. I spent the next several weeks sticking to a super strict diet, lifting 6x a week, HIIT every morning. I was sleeping 5 hours a night but still waking up refreshed and energized. Doing projects around the house, cleaning like crazy, organizing my laundry, etc.

Then all of a sudden I hit a wall and I'm back to being severely depressed; worse than before. No will to live or anything. Not that I'm suicidal, I just can't find it in me to do anything to help myself. To make matters worse I just got a meeting invite from my boss and the director of HR. So now I have to spend all weekend worrying if I'm going to be fired on Monday
Not to be an internet psychiatrist but that does sound like bipolar lol, maybe you just have a mild version
