Has anyone else been feeling super depressed lately?

Last week was rough.
Got in a major depressive funk and almost got committed because I said the wrong things to my doctor.
Got a med change and things are doing better but I noticed a LOT of my friends are also having a really rough time.

Is something up in the world to cause everyone to be in a slump?

How are y'all doing?

Not been the happiest. Almost feels like a curse on the people was cast for 2020 (ignoring the virus, etc)

I was in a horrible state a few weeks ago cause I was sick, but now that I’m recovered I’ve been super motivated in every avenue, doing great at work, socially and with my physique. But I had to go through that really rough patch to get here now

I don't even like going out so it's not like this virus changed anything for me, but the thought of NOT being able to go out is still getting to me.

Log out of social media and focus on actual goals, sticking to weight routine and diet has given me a great morale boost during these times, however it can get monotonous, but consistency is the key here.

It was my happy place. They just recently reopened but you have to schedule a time to go and it's booked like a week out.

Have a holiday planned in august, but me and my girl are unsure if we can follow through do that because the country i'm living in may go into lockdown again if cases continue to rise. No motivation to study/lift or do anything .... I dont even have motivation to lie down and rot.


Just a lot of uncertainty in the world right now, people are just on edge and in a state of constant worry. The only thing you can look forward to is just the little things in life that give you some kind of joy, no matter how fleeting that feeling is lol nohomo.

I just lie to all medical personnel when they ask about my feelings. Never been at risk of being committed. When I wanted an SSRI script a long time ago, I just told them I was stressed and stuff and they pass it out easily.

Big time....Not being able to do normal chit around here is annoying as fukk. This summer is a total waste. I am getting aggravated feelings 24/7 lately.


To make it worse, being stuck at home all the time is making me dwell on the negatives like not being able to move away, travel, etc.

Absolutely agree.

We were so close to buying a house, finally got our 5% deposit saved and started looking back in Feb. Then this chit happened, all the 95% LTV mortgages got pulled. We suddenly had to find another 15k to even stand a chance of a house purchase (and there is still only a couple of mortgage companies doing even 90% LTV mortgages).

Just felt like we were so close to getting out of rental accommodation and then it was snatched from our fingers. Sucks.
