I've never heard of anyone getting covid at the gym. Yet they are closed while places that have numerous people test positive stay open.

I’ve been back a few times and at most there’s like 3 other people there. Have to wear a mask and no issue with social distancing

My gym in northern california doesn't give AF about corona. We just had to sign a waiver that we won't sue the gym if we get corona. lol. It does seem a little sketch though.

I've been to the gym a few times, I'm more in the camp of being inconvenienced by the restrictions in place. But I should take the virus more seriously my grandfather did pass from it after all recently. It definitely doesn't seem to be safe to be in an enclosed environment with others doing strenuous exercise. I don't think I'm a severe risk person for the virus but you can never be too safe. Although there's no if, everyones gonna get it at some point.

I've been driving 30 minutes to another state to go to the gym for about 2 months now. Nobody wears a mask except when entering and exiting the building. No known virus cases.

COVID doesn't transmit via sweat. Only thing you need to worry about is touching your mouth with your hands honestly, so if you wear a mask, you really don't need to worry.

You are 28 years old...

You have a higher risk of being harmed by the seasonal flu.

This chit is really only dangerous to old and middle age fat people.

I'm not really blowing it out of proportion but the world around me is there-by in turn forcing me to take it more seriously as well.

Here is how i modified my visits.
1. an hour or less
2. working out in areas with few people near me
3. cardio outside
4. n95 mask creates headaches and makes me feel like passing out, so a sports themed fabric mask.
5. only 3 days a week.
6. spraying and wiping everything(pins, handles, seat adjusters and pads) before and after.
so far so good

Fuk all the ****s that say otherwise.
Yeah the irony of it all. I think I gained like 15 lbs since March cuz I got lazy with my diet and I was home all day so fuk it, watch TV, play games and eat more. That and I didn't want to diet because I didn't want to lose muscle. Still kept up with home workouts though.

Not sure if it is a good or bad thing that out of the total population maybe 4-5% had it at some point. From that standpoint it has a long way to go.

I met a guy a few weeks ago whose father died in a nursing home a few years ago from a cold.

I hate wearing a mask, the only time I wear it is when I pretty much go anywhere it's mandatory or work.

I wear a mask at the gym because I travel for work and go to cities where there have been a good amount of cases.

Point is I don't want to be the dude that shuts down the gym.

Is wearing a mask annoying? Yeah, but I still remember to breathe and slide it down.

If later on we find out that we didn't need to use them? Okay, cool, I'll admit I was wrong.

my workplace has it, it's basically a a sensor that scans you as you walk in that reads your temperature. if it reads high this information is then relayed to HR who will then contact you about the next steps.

That's better than nothing, and how most of Asia did it when things opened. Problem is just sometimes people don't show symptoms, but have the virus and can transmit it to others.
