You can have the 90's, being a kid in the 70's/80's was the real GOAT.

Had no idea that the 90s was going to be the last of the GOAT eras when i was playing basketball all day with the block kids/teenagers and then playing night tag when it got dark

When it rained i just played pokemon on my gameboy or the card game....i remember going to the bookstore and playing in a club

Great energy in this thread. My Mom gave me a package of dunkaroos as a gag gift when I visited last week (apparently the local grocery store started selling them). Brought me back bros. BRB going to look for fruit by the foot and surge soda.

But Dragon Ball Z, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Pokemon, X-Men, Fresh Prince were the chit. I think past 1993 is where you didn't really get the full experience of the 90s.
My cousin and I used to beat the chit out of each other after watching Power Rangers.

Racist ass show (not srs, but the show clearly was based on stereotyping which this clip made me LOL about...)

90s kids experienced the GOAT generation. We vividly remember how much better life was before technology took over, how exciting it was when it came out, and how destructive it has become today all in the span of 20 years.

I’m soo thankful for having grown up in the 90s srs. Playing outside all day is all but gone now

Only 6 years in the 90s. 3 or 4 of those you don't even remember. You'd be a '00s kid'. I was born in the 80s, definitely don't consider myself an '80s kid'.

Born in '88 and while I do love the nostalgic childhood chit, imagine being old enough to go to clubs and concerts. Most of the music I enjoy is from the 90s. Kinda wish I was born 10 years earlier (srs).

Born in '77 and spent my teenage years during the 90s. I second those who say that decade was the GOAT: great music, great TV shows, playing sports outdoors, etc. If only I can turn back the hands of time so my son can experience those things. So glad I'm a Generation X-er.

92. I think what I loved the most was how much people cared for one another and the genuine feeling of connection among the community. As stated previously ITT it wasn't all of this artificial nonsense.

People had thicker skin. These days if I give an adolescent boy some constructive criticism he's liable to have a mental breakdown.

Slootiness was still frowned upon to a degree. At least compared to the current debauchery.

I'd go back

Man those were the days. Calling friends on your landline, using three-way calling to see how many friends you could get on the line. I’d call my mom from a pay phone after school to come pick me up when I was done hanging out with my friends. Waiting for Friday night so I could watch the new episode of Star Trek/Star Trek DS9. Also loved Sea Quest, Jonathan Brandis was my TV crush. Actually having to go to the library in order to do research for a school paper. If you were lucky enough to have AOL, you’d pray no one called the house and get kicked off the internet lol.

My friends and I use to call 1-800 numbers that we'd make up and found out they were actual sex lines. The running joke would be to go to a payphone, call up one of these, and say to one unsuspecting friend, 'hey carl, your mom's on the phone.' He'd obviously be confused, pick up the phone and hear 'ou baby, I'm taking off my panties. I'm so wet for you.' After that, we'd all burst out laughing.

Some of the more colorful combinations we came up with that actually worked:

1-800-WET-KUNT
1-800-BIG-DINK
1-800-WET-DINK

Replace misc spelling for real spelling.
