lmao, at having to book an appointment at the gym.

There is now way my gym would do this considering it's a large gym and people pay a lot of money to go, plus people go to the gym usually at sporadic times like I do.
Just imagining to have to make an appointment would be horrible.

Did you really book a training slot without reading any of the new rules your gym is operating under?

i was goin to two gyms during this pandemic. i just cancelled the one that doesn't book appointments because it's so packed and people just sit there and chat with friends or talk on cellphone. the one that u need to book, everyone seriously trains, cept the old white dudes

I'd do the same thing. If my gym had that one hour policy, I'd get my lifts in for 30 to 40 minutes and then do some jogging outside for cardio. I'd just take a shower at home.

Just cancelled our membership to a decent gym because they fell victim to the 30% capacity, limited hours, must wear mask, first come first serve, can only be in the building for 1 hour thing. Would have just kept paying until the BS is over but the “deadline” to cancel before a $300 fee is not public information. So fuk that money grabbing BS.

Luckily i have a full gym at work and enough chit at home for the wife to train. I fear gyms are done in dem run states, at least for the next year and by then they will all be bankrupt anyways.

either do most states in the USA. Here in my state the only thing different is most 24 hour gyms aren’t 24 hour right now and you have to wear a mask walking in and out but not working out and get your temperature taken

My old gym when into a snit and started demanding booked appointments. Bummer since I like to sail in when I'm damn good and ready instead of cramming in salmon or tofu and rushing through my routine if I space out.
Anyway, I tried all the suggestions. First I did the disguise routine because the mask hid my face and I thought no one could recognize me. They did. I realized I could get away with multiple bookings. Then they wouldn't let me book except for once a day. I finally had to quit my most glorious gym. Best in town by far. I cleaned out my locker and pulled out so much isht. A basketball, squash racket, all my swim gear, like 10 bikinis, shoes, different soaps and lotions for every body part, multiple changes of clothes (because I forget my undies and socks habitually). It was very sad to go. My new gym doesn't offer towel service and only has one squat rack and one bench press. My old gym must have had at least thirty. Now I get kicked off of machines because I go to a miserable tiny gym. I miss the pool. I want to go home, but until they open up again there's no point. *sobs softy all alone*

Ours are in 1 hour blocks too but no one cares. I'm usually there for 1.5 hours and no one has said a word. It also helps that there's never more than a few people in the gym since the local chain gyms reopened.

Mirin workout. Last gym partner I had was a pothead and world of warcraft addict but you could see the athletic potential. I tried to work out with him and actually he was pretty good about just resting 30-60 sec betweeen sets which unless you’re doing a compound movement like olympic lifts is typically what most people do wrong. After several weeks of him hinting he’s ready to leave at the 20 min mark and asking to leave at the 25 min mark me and someone else we go with had to sit him down say look dude you’re doing something thats better than nothing but theres a reason everyone that looks good goes 1-2 hours a day typically.

Lol at my gym you have to scan a QR code when you enter and when you leave. It’s linked to your account where you can book the appointments. I just straight up walk to the QR code to checkout while staring at the front desk, then just walk back and finish my workout lmao

Before the nearby gyms opened ours offered weekly memberships and had like 40 people in it even though max capacity was supposed to be 20. It was terible. Before it was never that busy because it's a small gym. Thankfully now it's capped at 10 people and with reservations I never have to wait for equipment. Honestly wish it would stay like this. We have to wear a mask when walking in and moving around but that's it. Showers are closed. So yeah it's changed a bit but I'll deal with it. Some are still waiting for their gym to open so I can't complain.

Lol at OP acting surprised like you don't have to literally book one hour time slots every time and not expecting to be kicked out.

Don't agree with covid bullchit at all, but why are you crying on the misc when you are breaking an agreement you made with a business to provide a service?

What a weird thing to lie about.

Welp, some people are just liars.

I mean, everyone lies, but some people take it to the next level. OP is one them. Obviously.

Wait, i'm I suppose to feel sorry for the OP?

At least your damn gyms are open. I'm in San Diego and all of our gyms have been closed since late March. They opened up in late june for a couple days, but promptly closed again because a bunch of tourists from Arizona came here and made our infection rate explode so they closed everything down again.
