There's nothing to do here rn
Brb clubs are closed
Brb bars are closed
Brb you can only dine outdoors, where there's homeless ppl and trash flying around
Brb after walking around you're stuck in your 150 sq apartment

NYC could come back if they were “allowed” to come back. The problem is Mayor Wilhelm, aka De Blasio, has hamstringed New Yorkers’ efforts at every turn. NYC is not dead because of the hardworking, good people that have always been here, it’s dead because of the leadership of Wilhelm and Cuomo along with the radicals that voted for them in the first place who are now most likely fleeing to the rat holes they came from leaving true New Yorkers to pick up the pieces. Pieces they would gladly put back together if they were “allowed” to.

People are in denial of this IMO. It already wasn't what it was 20 years ago because of the way the music scene has changed in modern times. The music scene fed into the fashion and art scene then. These were the old non-electronic social networks. Now add on that no one after this is going to take a long, expensive commute into the city just to be less productive at the office. It is a basic law of the universe that nothing lasts forever.

What a shame. Such a great American and historic city. Its what the American dream is all about. From the amazing food, theatre, museums, finance, etc. Love NYC and I hope to see it bounce back and come back strong.

People saying NY will bounce back don't understand the problem. NY revolves around business and both the move to remote work, and the crazy policies being pushed by the likes of DeBlasio and AOC, have gutted the infrastructure of the city, and it's crumbling.
Detroit was an iconic city...until it wasn't. NY is heading in that direction. Can anyone even name reasons for people to move there now?

Just LOL at DeBlasio. Everything Giuliani and Bloomberg did to preserve this city is turning to chit again because of liberal infestation. NYC will probably bounce back to a certain degree, but people are realizing how **** the quality of life actually is. Whether it was COVID that piqued that realization or the poor response of the politicians in office is irrelevant.
This state is run on emotion and the politicians in office single handedly are ruining it. Is it as bad as people make it out to be? Phuck no, but its declining at a rapid rate and will continue should there be no change.
Spent my whole life here and i’m ****in out boyos, srs. Rode out COVID in the city, just two more weeks amirite?
See you *******s in the sunshine state.

All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

couples going for a walk outside their waterfront condos are getting robbed by blm teens.
a man walking his dog in LIC .got shot last month and died this week. his family said they are leaving nyc. long island city where AOC fought to not allow amazon...would ve have been much safer
waterfront LIC has hired private security guards to patrol at night btw. people dont feel safe at all anymore.
Yup..NYC is dead and it doesnt even know it yet. atleast for next few years.
