-pacing of last 2 seasons was extremely rushed because they wanted to go work on star wars
-waited 8 years to see them fight the night king, only for it to be a big fat nothing burger
-night king killed by a teenage girl who somehow teleported over a field of white walkers
-bran didn't help in any of the battles and he was basically pointless
-all the leaders were totally fine with some autistic teenage cripple being king of everything
I could go on and on but you get the point

It's not so much what happened, but how IMO. Everything went way to fast.
- There is nothing wrong with Arya using her assasin training to take out the night king. There is a lot wrong with her randomly falling out of a tree miles away from where she originally was without any explanation.
- There is nothing wrong with Bran becoming king. There is a lot wrong with everyone just sitting together and deciding to do so, instead of it kicking off a succession war.
- There is nothing wrong with Daenerys going mad. There is a lot wrong with it happening instantly.
- There is nopthing wrong with Jon Snow taking out Daenerys, but again it happened way too fast.

Idgaf if they killed off all my favorites if they did it in a natural way like seasons 1-4. The ending was bad because it was all spectacle without substance, and forced.
The reason people are upset isn't because of the destination, it was because of the journey.
Watching established characters become caricatures of themselves was disheartening.

Lol what kind of chitty predictable ending would that have been. leaving the wall to live a humble life with the wildlings was congruent with jons personality from the start and made for a decent ending.

The whole series was about the white walkers and they get taken out in ep 3 by a teenage girl and a blade? Lol wut. Thought it was a joke. Watched so many rumor shows on YouTube about what might happen and they were honestly all 100% better than what actually happened

Expected to see a few seasons worth of white walkers wrecking everything and eventually making it to Westeros but instead we got one fight scene. Jon did nothing all season and he was supposed to be the chosen one or something don’t really remember. I don’t mind Jon going to live with the wildlings in the end it’s just how they got to that point. The writers had no clue what they were doing and clearly wanted to move on to something else

Overall tho the jon snow conclusion was fitting but I agree about everything else everyones sayinExpected to see a few seasons worth of white walkers wrecking everything and eventually making it to Westeros but instead we got one fight scene.
