Fuark oath I do. I was the best man at his wedding 10 years ago, we became business partners for the duration of that time. My god, he was impossible to deal with - like a five year old child... spoilt, sulky, arrogant. His brothers hate him - always a good sign of an A-hole.
Our business has split up quite acrimoniously in the last few months.

Yes a broad I knew that was a stripper.

She was dead behind her eyes, every move was calculated and absolutely every emotion was faked in a way she thought was supposed to be appropriate for the situation.

Only one thing mattered in the end and that was whatever benefited herself.

It was the craziest thing I’ve ever been around.

Yes. Narcissists are more common.

The first pic from OP is all NPD traits and most of the two lists also. Which isn't any knock on OP because they get muddled up a lot AND someone can be diagnosed with both. Also many ASPD (anti-social personality disorder) types also have narcissistic traits.

Very broadly-

Narcissists care about their reputation because they value praise and being "one up" on other people. They experience emotions, but lack whole object constancy and have "black or white" thinking. If you had a great vacation then theirs was better and if you were ill then they were even sicker.
To be diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder, according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders V, someone would have an exaggerated sense of self-appraisal, set goals based on gaining the approval of others, set unreasonable high personal standards, lack empathy, be antagonistic, demonstrate feelings of entitlement, make excessive attempts to attract and be the focus of the attention of others, and firmly hold to the belief that they are better than others. It’s not a phase or a mood; it’s a lifelong disorder.

Above all is the narcissist’s need to be the most important, Daramus says. “That usually comes out of insecurity, but occasionally you get it coming out of a place of privilege, from someone who has genuinely never been exposed to the idea that other people matter,” she says.
People diagnosed with anti-social personality disorder (sometimes called sociopaths) are also self-serving, but don't really care what other people think of themunlessit serves some purpose in the moment.
Someone with APD, according to the DSM-V, is egocentric, acts based on personal gratification, lacks empathy, is incapable of intimacy, and is manipulative, deceitful, callous, risk-taking, and impulsive. “A sociopath is someone who, on a biological level, is lacking awareness of others’ feelings, and isn’t all that interested in anybody else’s rules,” says Daramus. “They’re far more charming and exciting than most narcissists, whose charm is more superficial. Because of the lack of empathy, sociopaths feel little or nothing when they hurt or take advantage of others.”
Psychopathy is a personality type vs. a personality disorder and entails a lack of empathy and just a generally different emotional makeup; like experiencing excitement and not fear. I've read that psychopaths can feel some attachment to very near family (parent, spouse, child) and may extend loyalty to those who have been trustworthy and loyal to them. That loyalty is quite conditional. Reportedly psychopaths may also extend their "umbrella of protection" to those that they feel attached to or those who are loyal to them; meaning that if you endanger or damage someone that "belongs" to a psychopath they may see you as a problem to be solved in an expedient manner.

ETA: I think I have brushed up against a few OP (ASPD). Definitely some NPD and BPD types have crossed my path.

I'm less sure about psychopaths really. I think that is trickier if they are good at camouflaging and you don't do anything that hinders them and aren't able to help them.

I've thought psychopath's might be "easier" in a sense. If you could have honest communication re: objectives then you would know that it doesn't concern you, or you are alright with it, or you are at odds. Then if you find you are at odds with them you can decide how much it's worth to you to go up against someone who doesn't play by rules. Kind of a Sherlock Holmes vs. Moriarty situation then.

And they will also try to make everyone look to bad to make themselves better by talking behind their back.

One of the sociopaths i knew let his friend OD on heroin and dropped him off knowing that he was dying. I knew the guy that died too. He showed no remorse.

I’m very socially attuned though so i can see right through a sociopath. Strong empaths like me can sense if someone truly feels remorse.
I know a similar case. It was a girl that let her boyfriend get out of her house to buy some groceries knowing that he was dying. Then she took a nap like it was nothing. It was crazy. They found the guy dead on the snow hours later. She didn't even call the hospital to check if he was alright. Impressive.

Yea, I went on a ski trip with a bunch of friends, and this one girl nonchalantly claims she could kill all of us with this ice pick thing she had. She had a weird name too, suisei or something. What a crazy ****ing chick.

Nah, its not "women", its just a me thing in this case. Most people at work say I'm the sweet, nice, innocent girl and they make jokes about how long it'll take before the work changes me (stressful work environment).

I'll pretty much talk to anyone and be nice to anyone/give people a chance until they step on my toes.

Once they do step on my toes though, fuk em.

I'll play nice with him at work to try to keep my work life peaceful, but any interaction beyond that into my personal life is done.

Never knowingly met a sociopath though statistically I must have. Thing is if they are functional it's relatively easy to conceal with casual interaction so you wouldn't know unless you are either really good at working people out or you spend a lot of time around them.

I had a manager once who I'm pretty sure has narcissistic personality disorder, she was an complete kunt and not in the normal 'my manager is a complete kunt' kind of way.

Sounds like a sociopath for sure. Most woman like sociopaths because they have a sort of confidence to them. Look at Jeffrey Epstein, full on sociopath. Woman loved him though. Just be aware of what one looks like.

Sociopaths aren't manic, they are typically extremely calm. Too calm. If someone seems too calm, it's a tale tale sign as well.

yea, i have no idea about that chit anymore.

different stuff comes out about it all the time - psychopathy/ sociopathy. it used to be they completely lacked empathy. but as time has gone on those definitions have changed to "they can manipulate empathy"/ "they can feel empathy but only to specific things". LOL ----> i'm not sure how that's different from anybody else and how you could discern how it is?

for instance, that "ice cold killer" (labeled psychopath) had a daughter and they've said that he had legit empathy for her. but it was only to his daughter, nothing else. or to his family

i would still think one of the most apt things is the psychopaths/ sociopaths NOT calling themselves that. because to them it's normal. i think it's always suggested if you think you are or are questioning it, you aren't.

since they have the inability to show empathy they don't question whether the way they are is different

again, if they have the ability to feel it in parts and feign it i'm unsure how one would be able to spot it
