I grew up with very strict Christian parents, was homeschooled until high school because the public schools where I lived were bad, wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend because my family believed in courting etc. I hated it at the time and do still think it was kind of the cult-y side of Christians.

As soon as I left home, I stopped going to church and was into all the new age spirituality until I realized it was all narcissistic trash. Also realized these people doing whatever they want aren't happy in the least most of the time. I believe Jesus is the truth now and the Bible is the answer. The weird stuff going on today has only confirmed it for me.
