Basically country life is "slow" because it's not the most exciting place to be, culturally. Cities have theatres, bars, cafes, etc. We also have conflict and yeah there's crime... but that's life son. I like living in a city because I like the constant hustle and bustle. Peace and tranquility never made much sense to me, but I can definitely understand its appeal for others.

I don't understand city life but I'm glad most people prefer it because if they didn't pack into rat trap cities there would be no peaceful country life for the rest of us to spread out and enjoy.

Its me, I'm city folk. Everything closes early, lackluster nightlife, no variety of entertainment unless you're rich enough to own 4 wheelers guns etc, poverty dating prospects. Overall, its no place for a single man/woman.
Would definitely retire there though.
