Ive experimented with all ranges of protein over 20 years OP, as low as 80 grams/day for several weeks, I fully disagree with you. Based on my own anecdote, protein intake is by far and away the most important nutrient for my body if I want to maintain/build muscle, its not even close.
Sufficient protein=more dense muscle & energy for me srs

Protein intake is very individual.
Some people don’t even recover well from reasonable exercise with anything less than 1.5 g/lb. This should not be a surprise wince carbs are also very individual due to various insulin sensitivity and activity levels of various people. Well, fat is ALSO very individual, some people love fatty foods, and find they function great in Ketosis or at least on very low carbs, while other people hate fatty foods and crave carbs all day.
Gotta find what works best for you brah.

I saw no difference in gains by cutting out whey. Whey is probably something you use if you seriously can't be arsed to eat anything legit.
Eggs, COTTAGE CHEESE, milk, cheese, beef, chicken, nuts.
Usually post workout before my main meal is done heating up I quickly eat 2 servings of cottage cheese (226g) and 5g of honey

for what it's worth
i remember studies recently saying that once you juice, and lift certain weight/ get to a certain size. those fibers or whatever stay in your body
so somebody who juiced x years ago will see benefits forever. and could get bigger than they could natty, once they took, even if they aren't on anymore
i know what i'll do. but im just saying that in regard to that guy saying "i dont juice anymore"

So you can have the short chain amino acids from it after your body's organs/enzymes break down the long chain acids right? Why not just eat foods like a bunch of fruit that have the same short chains already and skip the whole body stressing digestion process?
I mean it seems like meat is just an easy calorie dense package for the same stuff you can get from a variety of non meats. But the cost is organ stress.

Eat 2 pounds of chicken breast a day and tell me you got fat, please.
Anyway, this conversation pops up once a year. Good luck to any who decide to abandon protonz, my personal anecdote is any major gains I've ever had has been fueled by chicken and whey, at a high % of caloric intake.
Maybe you will be as fortunate with oats and greens, please make it a year-long experiment and post updates (with pics lmao).
If you want in on the secret of whey, it's because $ for $, there is nothing better for getting your "useless" protein.

It's not. You need a particular amount yes, but you don't even need 1g/1lb of bodyweight.
If you're cutting, then yes more protein is probably necessary.
If you're bulking like the bugez, Carbs are your biggest necessity. That's the easiest way to put on the weight. No chance you can pound down tons of protein.
Check out Tom Haviland on instagram. 6'7 and weighs 350lbs right now. He's going for 400lbs and is almost done with his mini cut. What he eats is insane. 11k calories to bulk just to gain weight. Most of which is.....CARBS.

No i have tested this theory a few times. You need to hit your macros and have high protein to build muscle. If you are eating 450 g carbs and only 100 g protein you will just get fat af with little to no muscle gains. Tested it before.

The biggest problem is when people are forcing down 200, 250, 300+ grams of protein because "gotta get my prot0nz brah". The need is probably largely exaggerated.
Also, I remember reading that Nasser El Sonbaty and Tom Platz supposedly didn't even consume that much protein. I remember reading Nasser saying he only averaged like 100g a day or some shyt. Obviously juicing a lot too, but...

1. Carbs are more important for performance in the gym/energy/pump. Protein is more important for muscle repair/growth.
2. He isn't a nutritionist/trainer. Literally every high level guy in the industry talks about how important protein is. Even the guys that aren't selling supplements and are telling you to eat real food instead.
Googled Tom Platz and it says he was high protein/ followed the traditional diet of that time.

But literally every guy I know that is juiced up and looking like a body-builder goes high protein. 1.5-2.5G of protein per pound of bodyweight. (Since calculating lean mass is extra effort.)its important, but not as much as people like to make it. Honestly, I'm not sure most people would notice much difference if they only got 100-120 g/day. Its kind of like worrying about what kind of golf ball you hit when you are a 30 handicap. it might make a difference for the peak performers, but for most people, not so much.

I get in between 275-300g a day now and have been fuller muscles and feeling full all day making cutting so easy. High protein and fiber is king.
