Do the people that use those peloton bikes put a fan blowing on them to simulate the fresh air?

I used to do spin classes for the cardio benefits and eye candy (There are lots of gym bunnies with tight bodies in those classes). An hour in one of those classes if you are not used to it can be tough.

It doesnt do jack for the upper body but neither does cycling outside. Most hard core road cyclists dont have a good physique, they usually have no upper body mass.

I have been riding outside to get my cardio in during the pandemic. Its ok, better than doing nothing. I think those peloton things are like 2K before the monthly subscription. Thats stupid money if you ask me.

2000+ for a half-decent exercise bike?

Zwift or similar seems cooler.

Running does not work for people above 23 BMI. Cycling works out weird. I could not keep up with the overweight women in spin class or geriatric guys with guts on the road, and I ran a 4:50 pick up mile on the track just from the cycling training.

If you kept cycling you'd surpass them really quickly. I started cycling 50km last year, I'm a pretty good runner for my age range, and it was brutal at first. Now it's not too difficult.

Sorta pisses me off though, I used to burn about 1400 cals, now it's down to < 1000.
