Are old are you? It's just like chicks tbh, got to keep shooting that shot until it sticks. More importantly, be patient, people grow on each other. Don't get discouraged. Unlike these other posters, I don't think you should be taking activities you're not even interested in just to make friends because then you wont even be around for a while.
