messaging on linked in is for betas, you need to give them a solid handshake in person. I like to crossreference their names with public information databases to get their address, find out what car they drive and follow them to work, hang out in the work parking lot, understand when they leave, if they go out to lunch ect, after a week of understanding their patterns, I approach them in the work parking lot and introduce myself, give them a firm handshake, my elevator speech and let them know I know they like to do buffalo wild wings on fridays and tell them we can drive over together right now, first round is on me if they consider me for the position.

God I hate linkedIn and corporate speak.

Why would anyone reply to such a pathetic and generic message/email like that? Looks like they just copy and pasted that.

Nothing worse than people treating LinkedIn like it's Tinder tho.
My girlfriend is in management and uses it a lot for recruiting/hiring. Always shows me cringe messages of dudes trying to hit on her. She has a photo up and is 100% corporate/professional looking and thirsty beta's never stop.

I get at least 5 messages a week from people wanting to do coffee chats with me to "talk about my experience". I am so depressed about my 70 to 90 hr work weeks, I just ignore them now. I used to meet up here and there but realized all I would was push them away from my career (you seem smart....you really want to do this? why not go to medical school?)

The worst are linkedin cold messages where they forgot to swap the company name. Always lol at those.

Got another from a middle eastern kid in college. Sort of odd message but whatever I can respect the grind. Click on his profile and he's getting involved in public message wars with comments like "you are a phucking moron! hezbollah are the liberators...israel is the true sponsor of terrorism." "Christianity is for imbeciles". etc etc. HARD PASS on bringing that kid into an organization that's client facing to major fortune 100 companies...
