Pretty much. You can only be as good as who you're consistently playing against, and if you're competing with a computer who has an ELO rating of like 3500 there are gonna be some advantages that wouldn't normally happen playing against the current human. where you can study and analyze moves and paths. At this point it's almost gotten to a point of memorizing from what I understand.

If anything, this movie is based on Judit Polgár, the only female to make it into the top 10 of mens chess and ravaged the number 3 male gm.
