Im usually in to jump against sjw propaganda like the GB remake, but I see no problems here, it's not like it's Fisher's biography but the lead is female, is just a show about a female chessplayer, I see no problems here and I will watch it cuz I love chess

Afaik her playing style is also more linked to Morphy, and nothing apart from the last game is based on Fischer (but maybe I’m mistaken? And more is based on him?)

It has to do with Bobby Fischer in the sense of competing against Russia during the Civil War-era when they are dominant, and Fischer was the only one who could beat the Russian grandmasters. And he was also a troubled genius. Besides that it's not particularly based on him. The games themselves are not related to Fischer, they were created by Kasparov modeled on past famous or semi-famous games.

It is a bit SJW'y in the sense that no woman has ever actually been that good at chess but at least it's not some 100 pound model going around KOing trained fighters.

chess isn't really logic based, moreso pattern-recognition based; but anyways the way the story is written makes the ending believable. if you replace the female character with a male character and you tell the same story, you wouldn't second guess it. i dont think the fact that the main character has tits should detract from the story, and trust me i went into watching it thinking it was full of feminist BS
