I was a roofer for a bit. Was all fun and games until the foreman brought out the decking gun. That thing shoots real nails.

Although I'm currently undefeated 1v1 on the nailgun.

I worked in construction doing various jobs for about four years.
Even learned how to run a skid steer and loader.

I was in an electrical apprenticeship but got let go. Stressful job but the 3 day weekends were nice.

Now I'm in a carpenter union as a production worker, made some nice dough and on lay offs.

Almost was considering a lineman apprenticeship, now that would've paid nice

Concert security guard, grocery store worker, and some plastics manufacturing job for a short bit in some warehouse


Used to mow the lawn for my parents when I was a child as well. Not a riding lawn mower either. I pushed that sh*t

I pushed the mower too. And took my $10 and smiled. No 90 minute Carl’s Jr. breaks either. I took my tradie job seriously.

Modern tradies have no idea how easy they have it SMH my head.

Welder, pipefitter, heavy equipment operator (dozer, skid steer, tractor with implements, dump truck), roofer, tree trimmer, plumber, electrician, appliance repairman, carpenter. This is on my own land or at rental properties.

Janitor
Fast food
Auto shop front desk
Manufacturing medical devices
Construction labor (decent amount of HVAC, which is the closest I come to a trade)

Loved it all except cashiering, and I'll never work a desk job. Can't sit still for eight hours and stare at a screen. Besides, actual tradies and warehouse/retail upper managers make better money than a lot of college educated folks ever will.

I worked at a TV, home theater and entertainment store when I was younger, if that counts as tradie
