Not really

I've installed 4 zone mini splits that cool pretty damn well especially since you can tempur different rooms. Nice ones have motion sensors on the heads so they turn on automatically too

My last install was one of those actually lady had a boiler and wanted cooling. So far no complaints and it can keep her house low 60s no problem

It was a lot cheaper than going with a handler and running new ducts and it was definitely cheaper than ditching the boiler and going with a forced air system

That's a big ass house either way the condenser is gonna be huge whether you go with a mini split or not

Wall hanging two mini splits would take up more room and have way more line sets and wires you would have to hide too

UK doesn't have extreme temperatures so people don't need AC units.
You would be fine with a fire for the winter.
