Once you've listened to a $10k+ SQ setup that's been tuned completely, everything else is ruined for you. Every time I turn on my poverty stock stereo now, I cringe a little. Sounds like an AM radio being played through 2 cups and a string.

You can even tell how clear this sounds in a chit tier youtube video.

Yeah, I'm still into it. Started around 1999 with my first system and have never stopped since.
Current set up

12" Audiofrog GB12D2 in custom slot port box
Stevens audio mids/Audison tweets in the front
Alpine 6x9 for rear fill
JL Audio Fix 86 DSP (tunes it properly)
Alpine pdx f4 (4 channel amp) stacked on a alpine pdx-m6 (mono amp for sub)

Just bought a DAP which is Fiio M11 which will finish it off.

Can't get enough of this. My next car I will spend even more money on most likely. My current car is a 2008 so I don't like to put too much money equipment wise into it even though I can take it out. Don't want to drive around a 10k car with 5k worth of sounds. Or do I?

My next system will be all Audiofrog stuff. I think the owner is a master level sound nerd.

This sub is my first experience with them, but all the car audio boards praise it very highly. I was thinking about getting their 6x9's to replace my alpines but I'm trying to quit dropping money lol

Anyways, I think a DSP and a DAP are probably the 2 biggest pieces in the car to sound quality.
