I know what he’s going thru losing your hair is brootal as a good looking breh. He is coping hard tho.

If he still looked 20 with great hair he would still be happy.

No different from girls who are hot af from 16 to 21 when they start losing their youthful glow and now they change

That all makes sense but he still has mental illness, prob bipolar. Not every introvert is going to go full blown manic psychosis because they tried psychedelics. He had underlying susceptibility / dormant mental health issues.

You have to be very solid in your understanding of life and death, and have your own personal ethics figured the fuk out to do that.

A deer lives its life free, and has a chance to avoid my arrow, just as I have the chance to miss. Life is fair here.

Imagine raising a cow, it trusts you, and one day instead of grain, it gets a bolt in the face. I could never do that.

I guess if its for profit, anything goes eh?

Whereas me hunting the healthiest form of meat, dragging it out by hand, butchering it myself, freezing it, and eating it all year is not ok?

Id say something about being from the uk, but don't want to offend the solid posters who live there.

Fair enough, good points.

Chit... I think that's accurate.

It's sad seeing someone going through a mental health crisis publicly, and deluding themselves into thinking they are quasi-enlightened.

Connor Murphy is the kind of guy, who is dumb as a rock, but now that he started thinking for the first time suddenly thinks he is smart.
He is the equivalent of a 13-year-old, who likes some Instagram quote thinking it's deep.

Yeah Buddhism is a bit too anti-life. Maybe you could look into people, who are against materialism as in owning stuff don't try to deny our existence as physical embodied beings with normal needs.

Enlightenment is anti life. It´s life negative. It´s a massive mental breakdown of who you are

There does seem to be a trend of recognizing similar experience like that in spirituality circles, they call it 'spiritual bypassing'. When someone is unknowingly using spirituality to avoid emotional problems.

IME now in my late 30s, genuine spiritual growth is impossible without heal trauma, and develop emotional intelligence, and close relationships. Otherwise IMO it's easy to delude yourself when you are isolated from others, and disassociating from your emotions and instincts.

I think that a spiritual framework, and model of reality reality is a good foundation, but then most work need to go into developing emotional intelligence and close positive relationships.

I used to think that deep zen/vipassana meditation and psychedelics may be inherently dangerous, but now I just think that if a person hasn't worked on their psychological (and energetic health) then they have an unhealthy foundation, and then psychedelic and zen/vipassana mediation blows off their filters/repression.

Edit: I see that you've come to basically the same conclusion as me, with your post above.

Enlightenment was never about reaching happiness or meaning. The people that expect that from it will likely get punished. It´s about truth and nothing else. It´s anti humanity and anti spiritually.

Social media is causing mental illnesses and people are waking up to things that are causing disassociation/enlightenment

The problem is a lot of people now have to rely on material things to cope. The US is based on narcissism and material things now compared to the past generations who had great communities

I'm not even watching the video, but LOL at taking anything he says seriously at this point.

This guy was blessed with great genetics and kept asking for more.

At some point you need to cut the Youtube chit and get a regular job or parlay the youtube fame into your own side hustles.

He kept on juicing and chasing more views and lost his hair over it. Could have taken a step back, kept a decent physique and fuked off the internet chit, but now look at him.

Lmao at the ending. He's "selling" his own personal religion.
