We should really drop the "United" part out of the name, because it's the last thing we are.

And the only thing that would put this country back on track is LESS government, and WHOLE LOT MORE government is about to get sworn in.

I don't buy this thought that Biden is a moderate or that the Republicans will keep him in check if they can hold the Senate. There are already signs he'll continue on Obama's path and run his administration similarly to Obama. That suggest to me we'll see more and more executive actions to circumvent Congress. Even when the Supreme Court determines them unconstitutional, the damage will already be done and it will be irreversible.

You can hate Trump all you want, but he was one of the most transparent presidents in history. Part of the hate for him came from the fact that he lifted that curtain and let us see what goes on behind the scenes...we didn't want to know and we didn't like what we saw. I expect Biden to close that curtain again, let the agencies go back to doing all kinds of shady stuff we won't know about. I expect we'll see journalists harassed like Obama did when Biden doesn't like the reporting. I think we'll see the government used to retaliate/attack his political enemies, and the media won't report on it because they don't want to lose access to the White House...and i think it will get worse if/when he doesn't make it through his term and Harris ascends to the presidency.
On the specific point about health insurance. Obama’s original plan was to have the government be an insurance provider. It was the Republicans who prevented this from occurring. Everyone would right now have much cheaper coverage.

You can’t have a developed economy where a significant proportion of the working population are unable to access healthcare. That is literally a ticking time bomb.

That doesn’t mean they don’t have massive influence. Twitter, CNN and youtube just won the election for Biden.

Lol that would be 100x worse. Imagine California or NY start sanctioning other states who diverge from their policies.

2021 will start (Jan21) with 100 day minimum shutdown including many "essential" businesses. Small businesses need to be wiped out so more people can get on the government tit. It is ALL ABOUT government control.

By summer 2021 we will be in armed conflict with some middle eastern country.

By 2022 I expect my personal income tax to increase by at least 10%

By 2023 insurance rates will by 2-3X what they are now, for those that have to pay for it.

By 2024 I will most likely see my oldest son get ready to go off to war.

Does the President even have the jurisdiction to initiate a nationwide shutdown?

If they hate White People so much then just split the country. All latino's and black people and SJW's can have the west coast and White people and maybe asians can have the middle and east.
And you know what? After 6 months the west side will be begging to immigrate east again.

No point saying ‘white people’ when the majority of white people voted for Biden.

I don't think it really matters who the President is. Corporate America has their authoritarian grasp on the majority of Americans. Follow our rules or get fired. At-will employment state? We'll make up a rule or policy on the spot and you're gone. Corporate is a cesspool. Small business is what we need to focus on. There needs to be an overhaul on non-profits and charities as well.

So I enjoyed Trump as President (didn't vote for him) because he was pretty transparent and he brought to light a lot of the issues within government. He got people thinking about local and state laws a bit more. Both the federal and state government has a bit too much power when it comes to individual freedoms as we found out this year.

But in the grand scheme of things this country is too big to be turned in either direction very quickly. Right or left. The way our govt. is set up, that's the intent, not to change anything too fast. If we start court packing, that will be a different story. We need more parties to influence govt, get rid of the two party election process. Term limits, age limits. Andrew Yang has a lot of good ideas on this topic.

We need anti-trust laws to make some headway, that's one of our biggest concerns imo. Big tech needs to be broken up and regulated when it comes to user data, screwing with elections etc.

I could go on and on, but I'm still hopeful. I don't see Biden doin chit for the middle class, something Trump actually did a lot for, with just jobs. But once the middle class is gone my hope for the country is going to fade pretty fast.

Before taking office, Trump talked a lot about the national debt, and nothing was done in that regard. I was worried about this back in 2007 when I actually learned how it all work, bam great recession, and debt skyrocketed some more. I just don't see how this works out anytime soon.

America doesn't manufacture as much as it used to.
There has been a large shift towards other industries.
This will probably lead to problems in the future.

Yes and all while being called a "Nazi" and blammed for everything.

You libs need to understand we have had enough and don't want to participate anymore. Eventually, as demostrated throughout history a breaking point will come.

People are willing to put up with a lot of **** until there is less food on the table and you target their kids.

And you nutty racist lib ****s have managed to do just that. What happens in the near future is on you.

But congrats for being open minded and bending over for minorities and gays I guess?

- I dont give a **** about slavery as it had nothing to do with me.
- Gays are perverts and can keep their sexual behavior to themselves like any decent adult.
- Democrats are communists and this is about power and control not helping people.
- Donald Trump is the legitimate President of the United States and Joe Do Nothing Biden is a cheater and a fraud.

I'd imagine you have a list that is very much the opposite of mine. So lets go our own seperate ways.
