Did you think he was lying to you, maybe to get you to pay for expensive tests that were unnecessary or for some other nefarious reason?
A hypothesis. These were backed by studies.
So to use your analogy, the doctor already went through his battery of tests on you and concluded A. And then 11 months later, he “does the tests again” and now concluded B, which is the total opposite of his first conclusion.
As a side note you’re also forgetting that the virus has been hijacked by politicians on all sides and became politicized, and turned into a political weapon. So you have to understand where people are coming from when they talk about being lied to.

For sure the virus was politicized and it's disgusting, but it's not surprising - everything is politicized. That doesn't mean I forgot about that.

As for the hypothesis stuff, I'm talking about projections etc., before studies were conducted, fwiw.

I've always said the truly asymptomatic spread had to be vastly overblown. It just never made any sense that such ridiculously high percentage of cases were caused by aysmptomatic spread. People probably need to spend sigificant time in the same indoor dwellings for most cases of asmptomatic spread to occur. I.e. not spending a couple hours at a bar or restaurant, but probably living with them.
This isn't the first time they've said this, either. I recall the medical authorities saying aysmptomatic spread appeared rare months ago. They had done numerous tests to detect viral loads being emitted by aysmptomatic people in testing rooms specifically designed to detect virus emission, yet they could barely ever detect enough that would infect someone else even in that setting.
But yeah, clearly, masks for asymtomatic cases are so effective... what bs lol. I've been telling for awhile now, just look at the very basic numbers, and you can see how full of bs they are. Lockdowns/restrictions have proven to do nothing to stop covid, but they do stop and destroy econonomies. Yet they keep doing it.

I can see the mental gymnastics for regular people to assume their asymptomatic simply because when I had it, i would have shrugged it off and probably still gotten up gone to work etc, but instead due to all the hysteria I ended up noticing some mild symptoms i would have otherwise forgone as a bad night's sleep or a hangover or a cold/allergies something like that, but it turned out to be covid.
but for the scientists to be so off, well that just shows how much they wanted to use this as a scare tactic.

I am super skeptical of this. My 84 year old grandma lives in an assisted living facility and she got COVID-19, she was asymptomatic. Had the virus not been in the facility there would have been no reason to test her and we would have never known she had it. I think the asymptomatic spread is far more widespread as people with no symptoms tend not to get tested, even if they were exposed

Anyway, the % being revised isn't new. Early in the pandemic people didn't know much about the virus. It's also still possible that 20% is driving the spread since obviously sick symptomatic ppl are less likely to go around spreading the thing and people are likely to avoid them.
The entire thing is a non sequitur and there is a reason this fuk went on tucker carlson. It's just being used to act like science is wrong and therefore jesus. Every fuking time. It never ends with you people.
Look retards, no amount of schizophrenic rationalizations change the reality that this virus is spreading and infecting ppl enmasse and that we need better restrictions on its spread. It doesn't matter if some scientists were wrong about something. If you think they are wrong about this simple fact, I encourage you to expose your elderly parents to covid.
I hope Tucker Carlson, Fox News, and the entire Republican party sucks a giant fuking dick.

Here's the real question that I cannot get an answer to. If you contract Covid, quarantine for a said amount of time, are symptom free and test negative again (PCR) not that rapid test, can you contract Covid again or re-infect people?
