At least they are clamping down on workplaces forcing people to go into work who don't need to. I know a dozen people who have regular office jobs and could easily work from home but their managers and higher ups want to see them in an office. How they are still letting construction of new houses go on I have no idea. That's definitely not essential construction.

That's the only major change I see. The whole store opening thing is laughable. More businesses RIP because you can't make February rent payments. Store hours won't affect anything.

And if they keep schools closed for longer, parents are going to go insane, far worse than the spring.

I am in residential.

Cottages. Not really essential, yet here I am. Makes no distinction. The law doesnt specify seasonal residential or not, so our guys will keep working.

That's the thing, the wording is so ambiguous nobody knows. So companies will keep people working, which is a good thing for those who need to work to live. But it changes nothing in terms of risk of exposure.

when the first lockdown happened, we actually got on the phone with our mpp, and he confirmed there was no distinction, and he specifically asked in his meetings.

So we made sure there was no ambiguity on our end, but the fact that someones summer home is essential is beyond me.

My guys like the money, but we often lay off for a month or two this time of year anyway.

i don't get this...so if i'm driving on the highway will popo pull me over and ask me where i'm going? i guess i don't have to answer them but they probably put me in jail as seen in many videos.....are my only option to say i work in construction or i'm going to a grocery store?

if this is the case i think a curfew would have been better, at least you can go wherever you want between the given times...not that i agree with any of this ffs
