Actually every doctor and counselor I’ve talked to about my anxiety offers me meds prescriptions. But I always decline.
Benzodiazepines aren’t safe to be taken for time spans in excess of ~10 days. Take it for longer, and you have permanently damaged your brain.

I get it sometimes. Mostly at night. I have to go to sleep with the TV on so I can concentrate on the sounds of the TV til I fall asleep. If not my mind will wonder.

Just weird that whenever I talk to a doctor about it they offer me drugs.
To everyone who is reading this:

Don’t ever listen to your doctor if they offer you that. They don’t know what they’re doing.

I don't think I have anxiety, however, I've always been curious about people with it.
I mean, I've heard stories of people who just chill in their living room and out of nowhere start having anxiety attack.
What triggers that?

Awareness of your heartbeat intermittently being benignly arrhythmic, a brief feeling of pain in your body, or a sense of derealization that hits you unexpectedly. It could be anything

If you a been binge drinking for years this can absolutely happen, bad news is that it only progressively gets worse, good news is that if you quit drinking completely your brain can heal. I pushed it way too far but quitting alcohol is crucial, but it takes time.

It’s really scary that so many drs push drugs they really aren’t informed on. Benzos will wreck your life before you realize what happened. It’s basically like taking ****** and then going out on the town. Your tolerance also builds up quickly so you get addicted/dependent on it while it’s on masking the real issues. Most drs mean well but can do more harm ten fold without knowing it.
This body holding me, be my reminder here that I am not alone.

Sorry to anyone who's dealing with that.
It truly is one of those things that not everyone can imagine going through. In return, they might call you weak and think less of you which sucks.
A lot of 911 calls are for panic attack and there's nothing we can do out of the ordinary to help you. We'll gladly take you to the ER but you know you'll get discharged asap.

Most patients with panic disorder are desperate. They aren’t schizophrenic or psychotic.

Yes because your underlying health isn’t a problem. You may be perfectly healthy and perceive that you are about to die.

If you have bad anxiety one of the worst things you can do is consume caffeine. Stay off coffee and keep your body loose, tight muscles especially in the chest/stomach can contribute to your anxiety

drinking borrows happiness from the future

just remind yourself that what your feeling is due to that imbalance and that it's not real

i get the depressed version of what you're feeling on sundays sometimes srs
