My uncles were all wrestlers. All their sons were wrestlers too. I learned from a young age, maybe 12 or 13, that even though I was bigger than some of my cousins, once we went to ground while rough-housing, I was helpless against them.

I don't think so. I think the push was just the signal for little guy to take action and start the fight. "De escalating" guy was closer and it didn't matter who he took first anyway coz they were all gna be involved

If you are ever going to be fighting a wrestler or someone with ground game training you have to end the fight before it starts and there's two ways.

The first (and most sensible) is by walking away.

The second is by acting first and if you act first you have to be as violent and DEVESTATING as possible, and if that means biting the guys nose off sobeit, you have to try and inflict shock. I've learned this off bouncers who more and more are having to deal with drunken bjj idiots causing ****, they won't get in a fair fight with these guys they will immediately grab a handful of hair and bite, eye gouge, punch the throat, whatever.
