- DO NOT have a $0 balance on ALL cards
- Pick ONE card and carry a 4-8% balance on it at all times (can switch different cards) but make sure you only have 1 card reporting a balance at a single time
This is the best way to optimize your credit when you need to lease/mortgage or some siht.
Of course it's not that serious and in general keep your single card and overall utilization < 10%, but if you want to maximize your score for a short period of time, do the above
