Anyone with any sort of monitoring (i.e. pretty much anybody with a credit card) would know this, unless you pay wildly early before due dates every month.

- Didn't read any of the above replies
- DO NOT have a $0 balance on ALL cards
- Pick ONE card and carry a 4-8% balance on it at all times (can switch different cards) but make sure you only have 1 card reporting a balance at a single time

This is the best way to optimize your credit when you need to lease/mortgage or some siht.

Of course it's not that serious and in general keep your single card and overall utilization < 10%, but if you want to maximize your score for a short period of time, do the above

Every monitoring I have reports what my statement balances show. There is no random reporting date for credit cards. It’s the amount on the statement.

If you pay your statement balance on the due date, you will pay no interest but the agencies will reflect a balance/utilization
