Some examples. Hnnnggggg

Why go through this?
Slower melting ice srs. Cleaner tasting cubes, no impurities.
My main reason, aesthetics. Can’t go back now boyos

Hotter temps create a bit faster freeze but it shrinks a little, maybe 5-7% shrinkage by volume. Any physics brahs could chime in.

but if you are experiencing that your hot water freezes sooner, i would think it is simply because of how freezers operate. you put in hot water, drops the freezer temp and the compressor kicks on, and it starts to blow cold air into the freezer, this will cool the water much quicker compared to putting in cold water that just sits in still cold air without the compressor kicking on.
