Add was removed as a disorder in the dsm 5 in 2012

There still is adhd

As for sleep disorder I would say no. Because people with sleep disorders react normally to caffeine and stimulants. While people with adhd are chemically wired differently where stimulants have the opposite effect

do you guys think long term daily melatonin intake is bad?
ive been taking it since jan pretty much daily. I think it does more harm than good.
brain fog during the day and weird symptoms.
I think melatonin is behind it

I argue that those other things can be the core problem, and are often confused with actual ADD. That's why I chose the words I did. I believe it is over-diagnosed because Docs don't want to get into parenting problems. Look at France, they are doing it right. The require you to fix the diet, sleep hygiene, electronics, and discipline issues before they prescribe meds.
