just stopped at part 6, man this movie is so much better then the first version. Plot is miles more fleshed out and fight scenes are better. Wonder Woman's first scene in the bank made her look like a proper badass demi-god, makes WW84 look fukking retarded
First 15 mins was a little awkward, like he jumped too quickly into the deep end of epicness before the viewer can get sucked into the movie first so some scenes came off as a bit over the top/corny

Yeah, I was actually engaged with the plot. Cyborg actually becomes an important and full character in this 1, and fits in with the Justice League. He seemed like a throwaway character or a plot device in Whedon's version, IMO.

I also felt Aquaman's loneliness and resentment, along with his compassion, more in the this version. Whedon really screwed up the Justice League!

Great explanation of why I found the first 15 so cringey.

That opening scene of Superman dying, and how it impacts and releases a chain of events throughout the universe IMO was brilliantly done though.

Seriously. What the fuk was he thinking...it adds no artistic tone, and does nothing for the movie.

Is there any way to have this aspect ratio changed to fit 16:9? I may wait for some genius to do the heavy lifting here before watching it.

Stretch image on TV but then 30% of the image is cut out
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

Deathstroke looks poverty and I'm still meh about the joker. This version of the joker is way better than the previous version with Leto.

Darkseid and Steppenwolf look badass.

Cyborg and the Flash finally got their dues. I still felt the movie could have been shortened by 30 minutes.

Oh, and motherfuggin' Martian Manhunter!!!!!!!!!!

According the DC comins, Martian Manhunter is more powerful than Superman.

Best parts:
WW bank scene miles better
Flashback of the age of heroes vs Darkseid war was hnnnnnggg
Steppenwolf attack on Themiscyra wayyy longer and cool
Flash powers are dope
Actually got some gore now
Tons more Cyborg story

Bad:
Aquaman was so much better in his movie compared to this
Batman still sucks in this movie
lol'd when team goes to the "Batcave" for the first time and they're like woah this is sweet when it's literally just a regular room with a bunch of monitors and nothing special about it
Batman and Joker dialogue was cringe
Music
Still hate the guy playing Flash and his awkward running. Also supposed to be yellow lighting
Steppenwolf looks better but still looks stupid
I appreciate everything fleshed out more but now it feels like the movie drags

I was literally telling my wife this. Why does the flash flick his wrist like a ******* when running? Then again the actor that plays the flash, Ezra Miller, is a real-life *******. Makes sense now.

The idea that there are negative consequences for playing God IMO is an interesting thing to explore, and that's where I think Snyder was/is going.

They played God when they brought Superman back, and he went berserk. So Superman "not being quite right" and falling to the dark side (no pun intended) IMO has been set up well.

Aquaman was the only one who thought it was a bad idea to play God from the start, and warned about it.

It pissed me off how they ruined Thanos. Infinity War Thanos IMO is one of the best villains in movie history. Very rare to come across a villain who is genuinely convinced that they are moral, and is even sympathetic towards those fighting against him.
I feel the exact same way. I love Snyder movies so I have a feeling I'll really like the new cut. I didn't like the Whedon version at all

Brb sloot dies so I'm going to start murdering people.
We did man, we got purely good superman in Man of Steel and Batman Vs Superman.

What you've described doesn't sound like Snyder's story telling. Superman "not being quite right" when he's brought back is IMO clearly shown with 3 scenes...

Spoiler!
1st scene is when they go to Superman's ship to bring him back to life...

Just before they bring Superman back to life, Cyborg says that the ship is afraid to do it, and we repeatedly hear the ship advise against bringing Superman back. Cyborg overrides it.

Cyborg has a premonition of Superman turning to Dark Seid just before Flash starts running. He literally says "No!" out loud after the premonition which flash misinterprets as "Go!". That scene was Cyborg clearly being warned by 'the universe' what would be the chain of events of them bringing Superman back.

2nd scene being where he goes berzerk against Justice League. Which showed he "wasn't quite right".

3rd scene is when Superman defeats Steppenwolf ... I remember thinking it's 'out of character' for Superman to be ground and pounding Steppenwolf so viciously, just before they kill him. Superman burned off his horn, and began ground and pounding him, and to me it just seemed like he was torturing him rather than doing what he needed to do to end it. In Man of Steel he broke Zod's neck, and we saw that he only did it as a last resort and was quick about it. Superman this time seemed to enjoy beating the guy up.

Which shows that Snyder is tying

There is also another key ingredient to Superman becoming evil (apart from Lois dying, and him being brought back from the dead), but if you aren't aware of what it is yet I won't spoil it for you. It's already been hinted at in the Snyder Cut. Combined with the above, IMO Snyder will put it together so that it makes sense why Superman would turn evil.

Steppenwolf looks WAY better and has just enough backstory to flesh out his motivations a little better.

Spoiler!
Good universe building with the Darkseid, Granny Goodness and Desad.

Curious why they cant seem to locate earth again. How did Steppenwolf teleport there when the box called to him but doesnt know where he is in relation to the rest of the multiverse?

IMO they improved Batman greatly in this one, and made him a likeable person. IMO Affleck's Batman was done dirty by Whedon screwing up the story.

I really can't believe how badly Whedon screwed over the character's of Cyborg, Cyborg's Dad, The Flash, and Batman in his version.

In this one I felt Batman trying to make up for his wrongs, and his understanding that at some point Earth would be threatened.

He has nothing to do the entire movie except recruit the team. He should be the worlds greatest detective and strategist especially in a team up scenario; instead Alfred seems to pick up a lot of that slack. He basically is just relegated to taking out a Parademon here and there before he gets overwhelmed and needs to be saved constantly. Snyder doesn't understand these characters at all and keeps putting his spin on them when the already existing lore is greater than anything he could come up with. Sometimes he hits gold but half the time his creative choices are a disaster.

Much better than the garbage that was originally put out but could/should have been chopped down to 2.5-3hrs. Also Leto as the joker still feels like Leto... I’m glad he didn’t have a big part.

Aside from the flashes character overall I would say - spoiler don’t click if you haven’t seen...
Spoiler!
him running back time towards the end was one of the most visually appealing and epic scenes I’ve seen in a while

Liked how this cut fleshed out Cyborg and Flash as competent and integral. Favorite scene is when Flash reverses time to undo the explosion. Mind boggling how Whedon left that on the cutting room floor and went super generic instead.

LoL no one would be complaining about the length if they split the 6 parts into episodes. Facepalm. It's a streaming service. You watch however much you want then turn it off.

That's not true.

In the final showdown for example Batman shoots a number of the parademons, and even saves another member of the Justice League.
