lol OP....in on weak troll thread. Soccer players are some of the most skilled athletes in the world. Normally, a person only uses their hands to do skilled things with their hands. They only use their feet to walk around. But to use your feet to dribble, pass, shoot. Not eveyone can do it. Don't believe me? Go try and play a game of a soccer. you will get megged by a chubby mexican in their 40s and they will run past you score and you will feel like an idiot.

I'd be pretty happy with this physique.

Soccer players are among some of the highest paid athletes in the world for a reason. Also competing on a world stage instead of just America, more players = higher quality competition

Is OP retarded? Football is literally the most skillful sport in the world with the most talented athletes ever. Why? Because it is the most played sport and most sort after. More people are trying to become Football stars so the ones that make it are some of the most talented. Compared to American Football where it's only played in one country, so the talent pool is EXTREMELY small. Football is played by BILLIONS. American Football is played by millions. In fact, in USA, the only time you hear about American Football is during the superbowl. And they don't talk about the sport but rather the commercials shown during every 2 minutes of the game and the 2 hour long half time performance by some celebrity. Football on the other hand, all year around, all nations in the world part take, solid 90 minutes of hardcore athleticism, skill, talent, magic, etc.

Soccer is what you call it in USA...the actual name in the English language that every country use for the sport is Football. Don't say Futbol/Futebol because that's for Spanish/Portuguese. English = Football. Point blank.

Soccer is not an easy sport. That's a lot of coordination with your feet and not tripping and falling.

At least the name makes sense lol... why would you call a sport in which you throw a ball “foot”ball????

That’s like calling basketball baseball.

Tell you what OP, head out to a soccer pitch and start running. Intersperse jogging with sprints for literally 45 minutes, take a five minute break and then do it again. See how well you can still sprint at the end of it and go from nothing to flat out to chase a ball.

A striker at the professional level has a VO2 max between 55 and 63 typically. A person with a VO2 max of 63 can be expected to run a marathon in 2:36, putting them in the top 5% of all runners. Even goalkeepers have one over 50. The average of an NFL player is 53.

Football (soccer) is one of the most skill dependent sports that there is. To play at a high level requires ridiculous levels of athleticism and co-ordination as well as some problem-solving ability. Pretty lame roll bread ohpee.

It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

So they are marathon runners and my point stands it’s easy to just kick a ball. Only thing they gotta do is be able to run

This... so much. I recently just started to learn to play. In the past I have always looked down upon it and thought it was a talentless sport. So far I have 4 months playing (practicing 4-5 days a week) and still struggle to run around the older guys. Dribbling the soccer ball is hard af. Requires good touch and feet coordination. That alone makes Soccer is one of the hardest sports i've played before.

Completely agree. Basketball is the real deal, it's not like you just need to be real tall to be good and you'd have coaches approaching you just because of that.

Oh and don't get me started on American Football, played with your hands, that's some skill right there.

Not really. I think its tough to be good at soccer...at least as good as a good player. Its a real skill. But for the others? Its not the same. I always said that if I had a nerdy kid with no athletic ability whatsoever but for some reason I was forced to put him on a team or on the "field," it would be soccer. The kid could sit down and pick daisies and it wouldn't be a big deal. In other major sports you get exposed and directly hurt your team at some point. In soccer you just aren't helping.
