Just LOL @ living in a big city.

Moved to a smaller city with a rural feel.

Quiet neighborhood, can shoot guns at friend's house close by, cleaner air, not a single homeless person in sight.

Can still drive 45 minutes to the big city to have a good time when I feel like it.

They are all innocent victims, let them spread their tents anywhere they want while we refuse to push forward any realistic solutions but instead implement more protective laws that makes the situation worse. That about sums it up. Everyone else has to either live with it or leave.

Hoping someone will comment on this post, but I don't really think it is a "left" or "liberal" problem so much as it is a result of overpopulation of a small area. Here is my theory-

People populate in a large area with economic driving factors (Portland). As the area grows so does the population and with that, so does problems of all different varieties. People in that area start wanting action and the easiest path s to blame/rely on the local leaders to solve these problems (government) which tend to have more social or "left" leaning ideologies. Again, I think it is just more a product of over population than radical progressive thinkers (while they are loud, they are a smaller byproduct of large cities).

All that is to say, larger cities are going to be more socially based/left by nature and are going to have more problems.

That being said, Portland certainly has a larger problem on it's hands with the homeless and the policies from Salem/Tear Gas Ted are not doing it any favors.
