That has already been going on for the last 10 years at least.

South Korean kids finish calculus in high school. haha. US kids barely know algebra. This is sad.

a high school diploma is already useless, bachelor degrees are becoming more useless day by day. should invest into trade schools and not telling every kid they have to go to college. many such cases of people even with STEM degrees working as cashiers or waiters.

Lol, gifted programmes are already getting canned in the US due to 'the wrong kind of diversity'

If I was the president here in Canada I would
-Broaden scope of our military to include more domestic work.
-Add mandatory 2 years service after high school with roles from social work, community policing to trades and more traditional military roles
-After this 2 years your degree can be free.

I think youth are so lost when they are 18 and recently graduated. I’ve seen so many people thrive in military or paramilitary environments by just being forced into a schedule. It actually provides freedom because you are focused and productive and learn to manage time properly. The life experience form actually have to work for 2 years would also provide more focused 20 year old freshmen.

Why is it 100 years ago someone could survive and thrived with 6 years of education, however today you need like 16 years? What happened? Are humans really that dumb where they need 16 years of school to just exist?

Sorry for my flawed logic but you get the nail I am trying to hammer right?

Merit based anything is already a thing of the past. At a past employer we had multiple scholarships and internship positions exclusively open to "underrepresented" populations. Yeah who cares if this kid is actually going to get anything done or demonstrates any merit, lets just bring them on so it improves our diversity quota.
